(this is the back of the quilt)

Babysitting Binnie. A friend volunteered to let me dog-sit her Scottie, Binnie McBean of Falahill, while she went on a short holiday. Binnie was so much fun, quite the Scottish type, a friendly manner, but aloof and loves to trick 'em. As a human approaches and reaches out to pet this cutie, he looks up and then scoots away, chuckling to himself as he does this, "Hee Hee, got 'em again."

We had so much fun together. I took him down the back incline of my house to the golf course driving range for practice. He sat there very good as I practiced. But when we got back home, I noticed that his long underbelly fur had picked up all kinds of burrs from the grasses. Poor Biniie. He had to sit in my lap for over an hour while I picked ou the burrs from his belly fur, occasionally kissing my hand.

As my friend returned, concerned that her Binnie would be so homesick for her, he merely acknowldged her arrival and then came right back to sit beside me, as if "that'll teach you to leave me". He gave her the "attitude" for a week.

Binnie is typical Scottie: as a terrier he must dig, he can dig a hole deeper than his body in minutes, and is very curious about everything. Binnie is a wonderful Scottie. This quilt is a remembrance of our good time together, babysitting Binnie.

Friends and Family: I finally figured out how to upload the two pictures...but don't know how to sequence them in the text. Still learning.
Finished the miniature quilt "Babysitting Binnie" which will be used for sale/auction at the Guild's Studio Tour in November.
