We are getting excited about the trip to Scotland. Only 10 more days to prepare. We stopped the mail. (Did you know you have to get permission to stop mail longer than 30 days?) We have suspended some magazines and papers and arrange payments to our service fees.

Also I finished the second quilt for the Santa Maria Valley Quilt Guild's studio tour and open house which will take place in November. The miniatures will be raffled at one of the studios.

This miniature is called "Bar's Open".


I will write a little fun story to go with it.

    Way cute little quilt, Su! I was thinking of you while watching the Open last week, wondering if you were there already. Evidently not. We're surviving out here in the desert, it's hotter than hades, but as long as the humidity stays down I don't mind it. We went to Los Angeles last week and I played Griffith park. I was way out of practice but I had a great time just being on the course.

    Looking forward to traveling to Scotland with you. Vicariously, of course. Hugs.
