Friday, August 6

Great day with a little morning drizzle and again very warm temperatures. Did some cleanup and a couple of loads of wash. Then off to the "auld grey toon" for some errands. Here are some pictures of the neighborhood.
This is the view out the upstairs living room window.

Today began a carnival in town. Market Street was full of carnival rides. This is Church Street between Market and South Street. One of the "rides" was where kids got "zipped" into a big plastic ball and then tried to walk around inside the ball while the ball was inside a pool of water. Fun to watch the kids. In the background is The Holy Trinity Church where we attend church.

Here is the fine Bakery Shop where many a pound can be spent AND GAINED!

Later in the afternoon we went to play The Himalayas. It was quite crowded with people in town for forthnite vacations.
On the way back to #10, Dick popped into the R&A Clubhouse to speak with the Porter about some questions we had.

Tomorrow I think we are off to Pittenween for the Festival.

  1. That bakery looks dangerous. I'd have to find another route to walk through town so I can avoid it. Or you can stop there daily as an excuse to work it off with more golf. :)

  2. Loving the whole thing. The pictures are great, esp the food ones! I always take a lot of photos of the food in foreign countries. Kinda crazy. Hope you're having a ball. Miss ya.
