Playing The Old Course

Just a quick post tonight. We had things to do around the flat this morning, computer work and a quick run into the village for some coffee. Then in the afternoon we played The Old Course which we arranged so that Ed and Frank Reinhardt could play it before returning to the States.

It was so much fun to be back on the Old Course. I got all feeling the history as I teed off on the first hole. I hit a fine drive as did everyone on the first hole. I had a bogie 5 on the first hole and Dick had a par, as did Ed and Frank as I recall. Dick played with a 97 and I shot a 101. I just kind of lost my concentration on the back nine, particularly after the 14th hole. But it was fun and I look forward to our next time out on the Old Course in the next week or two.

Following are just some pictures of the time on the Old Course today.
Ed and Frank with one of their caddies

Dick made a great drive on #14

Ed into Hell Bunker!! Took an unplayable and dropped further back in the Hell Bunker and made a fine shot out of trouble.

Getting ready to "drive the shed" on 17th hole. You aim over the lion symble on the green shed in the background and SHOULD land in the fairway for your next shot to the green.

The Reinhardts and their wives took us out to dinner to the Dunvegan as a thank you for getting them onto The Old Course. Nice people
