BIG NEWS DAY!! STOP THE PRESSES.

Today was Dick's day to play in the matches for 70+, called The Brazil Nut Cup.

About 9am we walked down the back alleyway to the R&A Clubhouse. They had taxi service waiting to take the men out to the Strathtyrum Course to play.

I walked down with Dick so I could wave goodbye to him.

After that I returned to the flat to tidy up a bit and then decided to go for a big walk. Walked along the seaside up towards the Castle. From there I walked around some of the areas near the old Cathedral. Then I went into the cathedral.

I have been to these hollowed grounds many many times. But you never tire of the greatness of this place.

The cathedral must have been incredible. The St. Rules Tower you see if the photo to the left was a great pilgrimage for people of Scotland.

Maybe you can read some about the St. Rules here.

Of course I had to go pay my respects to Young Tom Morris.

I took a little more time on this day because the weather was good and I had the entire day to myself.

From the cathedral and prayers, I strolled into town. Went to the Patagonia Store to check out the rain hats. Got one that is so cute! Purple and I love it.

Then over to a men's store to inquire about suspenders. Well suspenders are called "braces" here. Found some for Dick's tuxedo. Then back to the flat to make me some lunch.

Finally at about 2pm Dick comes in from his tournament to change into his coat and tie to go to lunch with the chaps who played in the Brazil Nut Cup. I asked how he thought he did and he said he played really well.

I don't see him until about 5:30 pm. HE WON!!!!!!!!!! His name is now on the trophy and his member name will have the symbol notation on it that he won.
Awesomeness!!

We are off to dinner tonight together out.

When he gets the email to the members announcing his win, I will post it in the next blog. He won by 1 stableford point.

NOW....can we do it in the mixed??
