Playing Kingsbarns
Today's big event after breakfast was to take Helga and Bjorn to play at Kingsbarns. Graciously, Mr. Art Dunkley gave them a generous discount. Dick used a buggie driven by caddie, Eddie. Dick felt that he would be unable to walk the entire course.
We got there under fog that was just quickly lifting to sunny blue skies. BUT the wind was huge. At least a two to three club wind. Helga used a trolley and Bjorn and I carried.
Teeing off on the first hole
The eighth hole approach
8th
15th hole across the bay/sea
Bjorn tending the flag with clubhouse in background
Helga lining up her putt
Fairway shot by Su
Finished in fine style including Eddie the caddy's finger in the shot.
For any of you who have not played Kingsbarns, it should go onto your list of things that you must do. The Number One Course in the UK! Fabulous.
Back to St. Andrews for errands and then the men got cleaned up with coat and tie to go have drinks in the R&A Clubhouse.
Cheers.
