Last night after I had already posted the blog for the day, Bjorn and Dick put on their suit and ties and went over to the R&A Clubhouse for drinks. Bjorn was quite happy for the opportunity for a wee dram of whiskey in the historic R&A Clubhouse!

Today was another very nice day of weather. Dick and I had several things to take care of in the flat; laundry, bills, organizing things. So while Bjorn and Helga took off to visit the Golf Museum, The Castle, and do some shopping, Dick and I stayed in the flat to get some stuff done.

We met them after their shopping errands at Ziggy's for lunch at 1pm. Ziggy's is almost impossible to get a table for dinner. But we had no problem for the late lunch. Ziggy's is named after David Bowie's portrayal of Ziggy and a lot of his memorabilia is on the walls. The tables are decorated with lines from songs and the place is full of silliness. This photo was taken during lunch with Helga's mouthful.....hee hee. (You are still beautiful even when chewing!)

They gave us yet another gift which they found while shopping...The Little Golf Book. It's quite cute and funny. I don't know if I mentioned their other gifts to us: A lovely heavy glass bowl which was enscribed in calligraphy: Scotland 2010. Below that Bjorn and Helga. The bowl was filled with German chocolates of every variety! Also they gave us a great cd: Vertuoso, David Garrett.

After lunch they got the bags packed and headed off to Edinburgh Airport to fly home to Dusseldorf.
Helga took a bye-bye shot as I did too.

Boo Hoo. We had such fun with them. They have such a fun spirit and we spent most of our time laughing and joking. I told them as they left that I didn't want them to leave and that now I was stuck with old grumpy. tee hee.

Safe Journeys to our friends. Auf Wiedersehen!
