Greetings on this Saturday from the Birnam Hotel in Dunkeld. We have computer! and Will Travel.

Yesterday was such a lazy day. It was fair skys, but I just read my book. Dick on the otherhand got his hair trimmed for just 3.50 BP and also got a free dram of whiskey! He also went down to the R&A and ordered several items of clothing that he will receive back in the USA. I finally realized I had to get some fresh air and decided to walk out the alleyway to take a grand walk on the beach. EGADS! IT WAS GONE!!
You could hear the sea crashing as I came out onto Links Road. Just then I spotted an old friend from 15-16 years back. I spoke out, "Ellie Wilson" and she turned. It was her. I had her come up to the flat for a cup of tea and to say hi to Dick. We had a nice quick visit and will try to be in touch in another week when we return to St. Andrews.

After that Dick came with me to see the Seashore. It was incredible. I have never seen such a high tide. The beach was completely gone. As I walked beside the car park next to the Golf Museum a wave splash completely soaked by back.

NAY BEACH!

That evening was had a lovely dinner at Forgan House, R&A's restaurant for some occasions. Sorry my foodies, I forgot to get the menu to write about all the food. BUT it was fabulous. Plus we had such fun with the members and spouses at our table. One member's great-grandfather was William Anderson Scott, who in the 1800s brought the Presbyterian Church to San Francisco. Incredible. Much fun. Back at the flat we finished packing up for our trip today.

First stop was at Pitlochry. We tried to find our old favorite restaurant but I became driving impaired. Finally just settled on this place.
Drummond's

Walking around Pitlochry was great fun. The sun came out and many sales were on in the stores.

We did some small successful shopping and then could not miss taking this photo... Oh my goodness. Would you go here for a trim?

Someone was actually getting a haircut! Well I didn't want to stay and watch...

From Pitlochry we decided to go on up to Dalwhinnie Distillery

Jennifer!!! Check out this combination..about 157BP

This chart showed the various distilleries that they connect with and the type of taste their whiskey is known for. Quite interesting. It was a good tour.

A very fine single malt. We bought a 15 year old whiskey. Learned alot.

From there we came back down A9 (only to drive it at least 3 more times) to go to our hotel in Dunkeld. A lovely little town.

Our hotel across the street from Beatrix Potter Park

and the hillside across the way .

We may be out of touch now as we move on to Crovie on the seaside wall. But hopefully we will find time mid-week for a WiFi place to be in touch again. If not, Cheers, until we meet again.
