Greetings. All was well this morning...so hurrah. I walked into town to do a few errands and entered on North Street. Going to North I noticed a signage new to me. Isn't this something. Here lies the Blue Stand. ..quite an old history to it. Apparently people toss coins on it for good luck.

This is the castle gate entrance to North Street. Most of the shopping is done on Market Street.

Anyway...I went on my way to do my errands with good success.

Just as I got back to the flat, our friends were calling from Cupar to say they were nearing St. Andrews. We watched for them on the street and flagged them onto the sidewalk parking.
After they settled it...we went over to the Links Clubhouse for lunch.

We had brought our putters along in case we wanted to play the Himalayas after lunch. But was Helga, Bjorn and Dick talked, it became clear that we wanted to play golf. So Dick called the porter at the R&A and we were off to the New Course on the links at 2pm.

It was great fun to play the New Course together.

Well except when you got in a bunker.

But the weather was divine..we were playing up until 5pm.

At the end of the round we were exhausted. Back to the flat for drinks and I put the British style lasagne recipe into the oven. Actually it was not a bad recipe at all. Quite lovely, served with my cesar salad recipe and breads. A good day and blessed with the company of lovely friends.
